| Tata Power’s Haldia Power Station since its inception has been committed to safety and has supported many first of its kind safety measures in the plant.
In continuation with its manifold safety drives Haldia Power Station organized road safety awareness campaign to promote road safety among its community and masses. Haldia Power Station in collaboration with Kolkata Port Trust (KPT) spread awareness and sensitized people on various aspects of road safety including employees, contractor workmen, associates as well as vehicle drivers, school students and public at large.
To mark this Safety awareness campaign, various events were organized including Safety message and display board at road side and at accident prone crossings, Road safety tablo, distribution of Leaflets and a spot quiz to energize people.
Display boards with road safety message were erected at different important and accident prone crossing in and around Haldia like highway crossing, school crossing and many others. Spot quiz was organized at different crossings and bus stands to promote road safety awareness and enhance knowledge of public at large on road safety measures.
Speaking about this initiative, Mr. Vijayant Ranjan, Station Head, Haldia Power Plant, said, “We are committed towards creating healthy and safe environment for our employees and other stakeholders. Apart from our Plant we are taking many initiatives outside also to promote road safety measures and minimizing the chances of loss of life for citizens of Haldia.”
