Tata Power conferred with “Suraksha Puraskar” by the National Safety Council of India at the Safety Awards 2018

~Receives recognition for developing & implementing effective management systems & procedures and
achieving good performance in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) at its Maithon and Haldia plants~

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility has always prioritized the wellbeing of its employees and surrounding communities by simultaneously working towards improving their quality of life. Recognising this effort, the National Safety Council of India conferred Tata Power’s Maithon plant with a “Suraksha Puraskar” and Haldia plant with a “Prashansa Patra” certificate at the recently held Safety Awards 2018 under the ‘Manufacturing Sector’ category.

The award appreciated Tata Power’s efforts to develop & implement effective management systems & procedures for Occupational Health and Safety at its Maithon and Haldia plants.

Applauding the team’s efforts, Mr Praveer Sinha, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Power said, “Safety of our employees is at the heart of Tata Power. This award is a testament of our safety culture and the various proactive measures taken by us to ensure Health and Safety of our employees & contractor work force.
