Tata Power enjoys an unrivalled cost-advantage in electricity production which has been achieved by regularly upgrading its state-of-art thermal and hydro plants. This enables the company to supply power at competitive tariffs to its customers.

Tata Power has been associated with the growing legacy of Mumbai as a business city for over a century. Outside Mumbai, the Company has generation capacities in Jharkhand, West Bengal and Gujarat.

The company also focuses on successful public-private partnerships to bring quality power to people. This includes PPP with Power Grid Corporation of India, forming Powerlinks Transmission which helps evacuation of Power from Tala hydro plant in Bhutan to Delhi.

The Company also has a PPP with Damodar Valley Corporation for generation and development of a 1050 MW Mega Power Project at Jharkhand.

  • Hydro Power

    Pioneering the concept of cheap, clean and pollution free energy, our hydro power stations are used to primarily supply power for the associated industrial areas. Presently, our hydro power generation projects are spread across Bhira, Bhivpuri and Khopoli in Maharashtra.

    Tata Power has set up various plants at Haldia and in Jamshedpur for Waste Heat Recovery, based on blast furnace and coke oven gases, which are waste gases from steel making process that help in reducing greenhouse gas emission significantly.
