Indian Power Sector is poised for phenomenal growth in all segments including non-conventional energy area. There is a large gap in demand and supply of skilled manpower. Skill Development & Training is the key to ensure availability of adequately skilled workforce in the sector and also for economic growth of the country.
TPSDI aims to contribute in bridging this skill gap in the power sector through modular skill training of the youth and contract workers that will make them more employable and enable them to grow and excel.
Tata Power as part of CSR initiative has taken an innovative step for bringing modular power skills in the whole value chain of the sector to benefit these deserving set of people. For this purpose Tata Power Skill Development Institute was established with mandate to establish training centers and offer training, certification and accreditation to the youth and existing contractors' workforce of Tata Power and also other organizations to enhance the capability in the sector.
TPSDI invites the interested competent ex-employees superannuated from Tata Power or other reputed Power Utilities to volunteer their expertise, experience and time. TPSDI would like to empanel them to:
