Covid-19 Pandemic has created a new normal throughout the world.

Tata Power has continuously worked and supported the nation during ongoing pandemic crisis. The company has been one of the essential service providers by ensuring uninterrupted supply of power across its sites in India. The company’s 10,000 employees, including 2000 officers and 8000 contract workers have been burning the midnight oil to provide 24x7 of uninterrupted power to hospitals and laboratories that are busy fighting the virus from day one.

Our 70 renewable power plants, 11 hydro generation and thermal plants, including CGPL’s Mundra UMPP, along with the transmission network operating in five cities are running in full capacity to ensure seamless power supply across homes. Tata Power has also taken various efforts our customers and community in these challenging times .

  • Government resolution (GR) issued on 31st March 20 which allows poor people to collect food grains for 3 months at a time.
  • This GR has been circulated to all CSR Heads in Maharashtra i.e Mumbai, Maval, Mulshi, Ahmednagar and Nagpur for uniform implementation by all concerned stakeholders. This will impact a population of 5 Lakh poor people in Maharashtra including 5000 migrant workers.
  • Awareness on COVID 19 and it impact and also emphasising the Importance of masks, sanitizer and social distancing.
  • Several families were covered in the Right To Food camps and were extended the facility. The same families are now availing the basic facilities provided by govt at various locations un RTF.
  • Awareness through Whatsapp Message ( Designed by Hakdarshak) and Govt. official GR and Videos released regarding the Benefits of Schemes & Its Eligibility.
  • Follow up with Sarpanch, PDS owners & Sarpanch for Distribution of Ration( 5 Kg paddy) to each members of family.
  • Daily Essentials kits to tribal & labour community- Rice, Wheat, Cooking Oil, Soap, Tea, Millets, Potatoes, onion etc.
  • Awareness on Social Distancing by NGO & GP and distribution of Sanitizer.
  • Linkage and awareness towards. Schemes, Govt. Scheme for Extra Food Support- PM Garib Kalyan Yojana.
  • Cloth Masks Making by Dhaaga SHGs, Face mask distribution drives.

  • During this pandemic, liasoning with the concerned authorities for the permission of plying of fodder trucks, arrangement of other modalities in the field.
  • Facilitation of supply of green fodder for the 3600 cattle daily amounting to 43 MT on daily basis.
  • Uninterrupted supply of drinking water for the transient fishermen hamlet named Tragadi Bunder of 15000 ( Fifteen thousand) litres daily.

  • Largescale awareness drive through Video Content in Gujarati prepared by Tata Trust.

  • Coordination with Local Authorities has led to converting College into centres for providing food packets to Migrant Labourers and Dry Rations distribution facilitation.

  • Food Grain, Soap & Sanitizer distributed to vulnerable families in Kalinganagar.
  • Food Grain to Camp Force who are doing duty on Road day and night for Covid 19.
  • Banners and BCC materials related to Social distancing, Hand washing and safe sneezing have been place at 55 locations.
  • More than 2500 families are being counselled to stay positive through digital medium (SHG members, village organization) like WhatsApp, phone etc during lockdown phase with assurance of emergency support.
  • Facilitation of Supply of disinfectants (Bleaching powder) to community leaders and Food packets to needy, daily wagers to around 100 persons.
  • Advocacy with Agriculture marketing department responsible for marketing of agriculture produce to facilitate the vehicle pass for khairboni farmer’s produce for sale in the market. (Around 36 tonnes of muskmelon/vegetables is to be harvested and sold in local mandis).
  • Jharkhand - SHG members are getting resources from government to serve hot cook food to the needy in the villages under Mukhyamantrididi kitchen yojna.
  • Under DHAAGA SHG members stitched 12000 masks and got remuneration for stitching.
  • Awareness session with SHGs on COVID 19 in neighbourhood villages.
  • Conducted several Awareness Sessions for employees and Contractual Staff including Security on COVID-19.
  • Face masks distribution through Dhaaga SHG members which are involved in Face mask making.
  • Conduct Awareness sessions in Schools and Door to Door awareness campaign community till 15th of March for proper awareness in villages nearby sites.
  • Provided Ration Kits (Atta, Rice, Pulses, Haldi, Salt, Spices, Potatoes) to families deprived from government food supply.
  • Conducted awareness drives at plant locations, enrolling general public for government schemes such as PDS.
  • Engaging local SHGs to create cloth masks for distribution to medical staff, local community.
  • Support to Primary Health Centre by providing medicines for cough & cold.
  • Facilitation through village disaster management committee to guide and aware community on COVID19.
  • Face masks distribution through Dhaaga SHG members which are involved in Face mask making.
  • More than 25 villages involved in clean community mobility pockets and make disinfect. Partner Organization has sheltered 50 migrants by providing of food, stay and health check-up facility.
  • Location with support of the field animators supporting Grampanchayat to implement rationing facility properly across TPREL Maharashtra sites to cover needy population.
  • Involvement of villages community members including SHGs members, youth club presidents, opinion makers, gram panchayat members, village heads, teachers, college students, retired army persons etc. to play a watch dog role in the community to prevent COVID19 pandemic crises.
  • Location site migrants and needy villagers are getting food packets on regular basis once in a day. It has facilitated by Site Incharge-Mithapur with support of local charity organization.
  • Sensitization of rich farmers/villagers to share and donate grains or other edible items to the needy masses from the villages. It has helped to develop social bonding process in the village with approach of brotherhood.
  • Face Masks were distributed among the Govt. staff of various offices and key community members.
  • Dry food grains were distributed in guidance of Tehsil office Jat. It comprises rise, sugar, edible oil, chili powder, pulses etc. materials
  • TPCDT grass root intervention helped to aware community to get the rationing items as per the govt. norms.
  • IRRJL catchment area villages covered to aware and spread safety precautions with Govt. staff.
  • Regular awareness on Corona virus circulated to all stakeholders including poster display.
  • Distribution of ration bags (which consists of Rice 5 Kg, Dal 1Kg, Oil 1 lt, Salt 1Kg) to the needy / stranded people.
  • Cooked Food Distribution to Slum People by the TPSSL Manufacturing Volunteers.
  • Under care of animal, distributed banana fruits to Monkey, the activity lead by TPSSL Volunteer..
  • Awareness drive conducted at premises on COVID - 19 for support staffs.
  • Provided dry ration kits for 170 families for 12 days, each kit contains rice, Atta, salt, sugar, pulses, oil, spices.
  • Provided dry ration kits for 100 families for 10 days, each kit contains Rice .sugar, pulses, Oil, Potato ,Salt, Spices (10 KG)
  • Food grain distribution to contract worker families and vulnerable communities in neighborhood villages in Bara Tehsil of Prayagraj.
  • Regular sanitization of neighborhood villages, primary health centre, public utilities through Fire Tenders.
  • Public awareness in all the areas during sanitization.
  • Awareness creation and installation of Arogya setu App among villagers.
