Tata Power wins “3rd ICSI CSR Excellence Award” for the year 2018

~Receives recognition for its outstanding contribution in fueling inclusive growth in community development and empowerment~

Tata Power, the India’s largest integrated power company, won the “3rd ICSI CSR Excellence Award” for the year 2018 in the Medium Category for its commitment towards empowering the communities in and around its operational areas. Team Tata Power accepted the award on behalf of the Company from Mr. G. N. Bajpai, former Chairman, The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Dr. Mohan Kaul, President, Indian Professionals Forum, UK and Mr. Makarand Lele, President, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), at the 3rd ICSI CSR Excellence Award for the year 2018 ceremony held at The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai today.

ICSI is constituted under an Act of Parliament i.e. the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No. 56 of 1980). ICSI is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India.

The award acknowledged Tata Power’s unique and extraordinary contribution in CSR thereby recognizing its role in fueling inclusive growth and the implementation of innovative practices in community development and empowerment.
