CGPL spurs innovation in education under E-Vidya – ‘Learning Delight’: an E-software for learning in Gujarat

Tata Power’s Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (CGPL) has relentlessly worked towards conceptualizing advanced and path-breaking solutions in the education sector for children in its operational areas. With an aim to incorporate innovative teaching & learning experience for school students, the company, under its E-Vidya program, recently launched ‘Learning Delight’ – an E-software for academic learning in 20 schools in Mundra, Gujarat.

The E-software is aligned with the Gujarat State Board curriculum up to Class VIII and intends to make learning a delightful experience through animation, riddles, puzzles and stories. It is a unique example of collaborative efforts by the Government, CSR and NGOs to strengthen and improve the education quality, to increase creativity in the students, learning environment with overall development of students & creating a sense of healthy competitiveness among the students through quiz, increase the usage of IT in day to day teaching for improved performance of the students.  This E Vidya focusses on integrating curriculum and technology which offers exposure to advance learning practices for educational excellence.

The E-software will not only facilitate an effortless interaction between teachers and students but will also enhance learning levels by making prescribed textbooks fun and easy thereby improving the quality of education and decreasing the dropout rate.

Elaborating on the E-software, Mr. K.V. Ghate ,CEO, CGPL, said, “We believe that education is the backbone of any progressive country. At Tata Power, our efforts have always been driven towards augmenting innovative and experiential learning in the India education system. Our association with ‘Learning Delight’ to introduce this E-software under our E-Vidya program is an endeavour to simplify the way children are taught in schools by digitizing educational content and making it a lot more interesting.”

Through this program, the company aims to impact over 20 schools in rural and semi-urban areas of Mundra, Gujarat.
