Tata Power wins 'GOLD' at the International Convention on Quality Circles Award 2019 in Tokyo, Japan

Tata Power’s Quality Circle  team, “Team Kasturi”, took center stage at the recently held International Convention on Quality Circles (ICQCC) 2019 Awards in Tokyo, Japan by winning the prestigious GOLD award for their project titled Difficulties in Disposal of Garbage Waste’. The award ceremony witnessed a participation of 370 teams from 13 countries this year.

Comprising of Mr. Dattkumar I Bhasagi, Mr. Vishal Jadhav, Mr. Rahul Sangale & Mr. Priyanko Majumdar from Mumbai’s Civil & Estate division, the team presented various eco-friendly solutions to dispose garbage waste. Out of 494 Nos. of case study abstracts submitted to ICQCC-2019 Japan, only 135 case studies from India were accepted by the selection committee, “Team Kasturi” being one of them.

Applauding the efforts of the team, Mr Praveer Sinha, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Power  said, “We are extremely proud of Team Kasturi and feel privileged to receive this prestigious honour from the ICQCC at an International level. This award has been a significant milestone and will inspire us to continuously improve and create value for our customers.”

Apart from Tata Power, representatives from reputed companies such as Tata Steel, Bharat Electronics, JSW Steel, Kirloskar Oil, Aditya Birla, Rashtriya Fertilizers, Mazagon Dock Ship, Reliance, Yamuna Power limited, Siemens, NTPC, Mahindra, MSCB and Adani Group graced the occasion.
