Tata Power collaborates with SAAD Foundation to organise a Safety awareness drive in Mumbai

~Sensitises over 100 individuals as a part of its 'Ghar Ghar Me Jan Jagruti Abhiyan'~

Tata Power, India's largest integrated power utility has always propagated the importance of electrical safety awareness amongst communities living in and around its operational areas. The company collaborated with SAAD (Social Awareness Advocacy & Development) Foundation to organise a Safety awareness drive at Dharavi - Dhobi Ghats (Dharavi Transit) and Social Nagar.

This activity was held as a part of its 'Ghar Ghar Me Jan Jagruti Abhiyan' which involves street plays and interaction with the people residing in that area. It sensitized over 100 to 125 residents about the adoption of safety measures to be taken in vicinity of transmission lines. It also stressed upon the importance of using ISI marked Electrical Equipments, importance of ELCB-Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers and Equipment Earthing, as well as avoiding overloading of Electric Circuits etc.

Talking about the campaign, Mr. Sanjay Banga, President - T&D, Tata Power, said, "One of the significant issues for which we feel strongly committed towards is the safety of people residing in our operational areas. I am glad that this initiative was very well received by everyone. We are thankful to all the Tata Power employees and volunteers who made this programme a tangible success."
