Tata Power, India's largest integrated power utility, today issued an advisory against the fraudulent domains tatapower888.in & tt88888.in and a whatsapp number - 96900830963 which have been misrepresenting the Company by offering fake solar generators/products on rent .
This advisory is in reference to the recent incident wherein this fake domain has been reaching out to customers, asking them to rent solar generators by investing a minimum amount of Rs.500 and offering cash prize for the investment.
This fake domain has been engaging with customers without any authorisation from Tata Power and Tata Power Solar. It has also been running a referral system offering commission to customers who refer the domain.
Tata Power has lodged an official complaint against it and anyone engaging with the domain IDs & whatsapp number will do at their own risk
The Company has always strived to add value its customers and is a keeping a tab on such fraudulent practices . Tata Power Solar & Tata Power do not engage in such activities and wish to reinforce any activities conducted by above mentioned domain IDs & the whatsapp number do not represent Tata Power . The Company would urge users to purchase or rent our solar products only through Company's designated and authorised distribution channel partners only and inform us at toll free number 1800 419 8777 in case they come across such fake platforms.
