At Tata Power, we believe that a strong ethical foundation is the cornerstone of a successful and sustainable business. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and fairness in all our endeavors. We have a zero-tolerance policy for ethical violations and take every concern raised by stakeholders seriously. All concerns raised by our stakeholders are thoroughly investigated by an independent team to ensure transparency and trust. In case of ethical violations, prompt and appropriate disciplinary actions are taken. These actions may encompass transfer, termination, grade and salary adjustments, termination of vendor association, and more. We firmly believe that ethics is an ongoing journey of improvement. The outcomes of investigations are carefully reviewed, and our business processes are modified or updated based on recommendations from the investigation team.

Ethics Training via e-modules

As a responsible and ethical organization, we prioritize adherence to our core values. To ensure a culture of integrity and compliance, all employees are required to undergo mandatory training through e-modules on TCOC and Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy. These training sessions equip our workforce with the knowledge and awareness needed to uphold ethical standards in all aspects of their work. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we meticulously track and monitor employee training completion through the employee appraisal cycle. By fostering a well-informed and morally conscious workforce, we collectively contribute to a stronger and more sustainable organization.
Listening, Learning, and Growing Ethically:

The Perception Survey

To gauge awareness, commitment and effectiveness of our actions, we conduct a ‘perception survey’ among employees and relevant stakeholders once in two years. This survey, supported by an external agency, gives us invaluable insights into the strengths and areas of improvement in our ethical processes.

Based on the outcomes of this survey, we improve the ethics processes in order to enhance positive perception and deepen the commitment to ethics among all our employees and stakeholders. This assurance process continues to provide deeper insights and assist the company to continuously engage with employees and key stakeholders more deeply in ethical processes and practices.
Setting High Standards:

The Annual Compliance Report

At Tata Power, we believe in holding ourselves to the highest standards of ethics and compliance. To ensure the effectiveness of our ethical practices, the Tata Group Ethics Office (Tata Sons Pvt Ltd) with support of independent third party professional firm (EY), conducts assessment of Annual Compliance Report (ACR). Based on the assessment, companies are rated on 4 levels of maturity scale (Basic, Evolving, Established and Advanced) for each of the 4 pillars of the ethics framework. These pillars include Leadership, Compliance Structure, Communication & Training, and Measurement of Effectiveness. Our commitment to excellence has earned us with the highest rating consistently for all four pillars of the ethics program for last 6 years. The ACR process enables us to continuously improve and further our ethical activities and processes.
