• Tata Power won three awards at the CMO Asia Awards 2011 for excellence in Brand and Marketing in the following categories :
  • Best Marketing Campaign of the Year- Tata Power Energy Club
  • Best In-house Magazine- Transmission Lines, April 2011

• Tata Power has been ranked No 38 as India's Best Companies to work as per the study done by Great Place to Work Institute. The Great Place to Work framework is based on over 25 years of research of the best work places across the globe from employees point of view. The survey also looks at workplace relationships from the employees' perspective that makes this most widely used framework to understand best workplaces. Tata Power is featured as its employees place immense faith in honest and reliable management. They are extremely happy about caring and safe workplace with good facilities and take pride in working for a Tata group company. June 2011.

• Tata Power was bestowed the prestigious “Vasundhara Award” in the industry category, given out to recognize exemplary work carried out by Industries, Urban Local Bodies, Schools and Environmental Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) towards protection of environment in the State of Maharashtra  by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). M/s Ashok Sethi, Vice President (Mumbai Licence Area) Operations, Vijay Chourey, Head-Trombay Thermal Power Station and Anand Gurav, Manager- Environment received the award on behalf of Tata Power from the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Prithviraj Chavan at a function organised in Y.B Chavan Hall on the occasion of World Environment Day. 5th June 2011.

• Mr. Raghukumar Paruchari from Tata Power SED received the Best Information Security Practices Award under the ‘CISO 100 Awards 2011’ on 12th May, 2011 in recognition of ‘ISO-27001 Implementation’ Project.

• Trombay Thermal Power Station has bagged the prestigious Greentech Safety Award 2011 in the gold category (in thermal power sector) for outstanding achievement in Safety Management. Award presentation ceremony was held on 29th April 2011 in New Delhi.

• Tata Power has been conferred the prestigious BML Munjal Award for Excellence in Learning & Development for the year 2011 by Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana on 21 st April, 2011 at Delhi. Tata Power got the award in Private sector category.
