Tata Power bags 'Par-Excellence' and 'Excellent' Award at the 32nd National Convention on Quality Circles (NCQC) 2018

~Team Challenger, Team Avenger (O&M) and Team Pragati (Operation) won prestigious awards at a Convention held in Gwalior~

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility, has always worked towards excelling in its operational performance and execution of projects. Giving this momentum were Tata Power’s LQC teams from Jojobera division – 1) Avengers 2) Challenger & 3) Pragati winning accolades at the 32nd National Convention on Quality Circles (NCQC) held in Gwalior from 21st to 24th December, 2018.

Team Pragati from the Operation Department was bestowed with the most Prestigious ‘Par-Excellence’ Award and teams Challenger and Avengers from the O&M Department won the ‘Excellent’ Award at the 2018 Convention that followed the theme of “Igniting Minds for Innovation through Quality Concepts”.

Applauding the efforts of the teams, Mr. Vijay V Namjoshi, Chief-Jojobera Thermal Power Station, Tata Power, said, "We are ecstatic to be conferred with these prestigious awards and are thankful to NCQC for recognising Tata Power’s efforts towards quality improvement and establishing new industry standards."

The Quality Circle Forum of India, for over 35 years, has been relentlessly spearheading the education, training and propagation in implementation of Quality Concepts in industries, service sector, education, health, rural areas etc. with an aim to provide a platform for the teams to showcase their abilities to deal with problems using quality control tools.
