The programme will be held in two government primary schools across Mundra and Mandvi as a part of its community development program which includes improving the quality of education imparted in public schools and aims to benefit over 220 children.

It will involve intensive, scientifically designed and proven in-school quality improvement efforts, in English, Mathematics and Gujarati and will be run in two phases for two and a half months, one in each school semester.

The pilot initiative was implemented in Motikhakar and Nanikhakar villages in Mundra and Mandvi districts respectively in partnership with Vadodara-based NGO Sai’s Angel Foundation that has been providing similar programs in 115 schools in Vadodara government schools, 15 of which are under a very similar direct intervention programs.

Since its launch in 2012, Tata Power’s Shiksha Saarthi Smartcamp has proven to be a very effective tool in making education more interactive and therefore interesting. We hope to expand this program in the coming years to ensure a greater participation of our community.
