Mr. Basudev Hansdah aged 53 years, holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, Odisha and an Executive Management Programme from IIM Calcutta.  In a career spanning 30 years Mr. Basudev Hansdah has worked with companies such as Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rourkela Steel Plant and NTPC Talcher.

He joined Tata Power in 2007 and has worked more than 15 years in various functions/divisions such as commissioning and stabilizing power plants, executing agreements such as PPAs and FSAs, and implementing management systems like ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and ISO 45000. Mr. Hansdah was Plant Head – of Tata Power at Kalinganagar before taking over responsibility of the Chief – O&M, Jamshedpur from 2021 to 2024.

Prior to his appointment as CEO Maithon Power Limited Mr. Basudev Hansdah held the position of CEO – Industrial Energy Limited (IEL) & Chief Jamshedpur Operations.
