Mr. Satish Kumar is a seasoned finance professional with around three decades of extensive experience in the power generation and distribution sector, with deep expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, strategic planning, refinancing, and business transformation. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and is a qualified Cost Accountant (ICWAI).

He is currently Cluster CFO – Generation, Tata Power since September 2025, where he leads the finance function, commercial operations, projects, and growth initiatives for the Generation Cluster. Prior to this, he served as CFO of TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited, a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the newly formed utility following Tata Power’s acquisition. Under his financial leadership, the company was transformed from a loss-making utility into a profit-making organization within two years, while ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, digital transformation, and operational efficiencies. He has also held the position of CFO of this Company upto 31st December 2020 where he successfully implemented refinancing strategies, resolved regulatory matters, improved profitability, strengthened compliance systems, and led financial restructuring initiatives.
