Haryana, July 02, 2026: Tata Power Solar Rooftop, part of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and a subsidiary of Tata Power, today launched its flagship ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign along with Tata Power Battery Storage, an integrated Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS), in Haryana. Designed to accelerate the adoption of distributed clean energy across the state, the initiative brings together rooftop solar, battery storage and customer-friendly financing solutions under a single ecosystem. Through the campaign, Tata Power aims to make clean energy more accessible, affordable and reliable for households, businesses and farming communities while supporting Haryana's transition towards a more sustainable and energy-secure future.

As one of India's fastest-growing states, Haryana is witnessing increasing demand for reliable and sustainable energy solutions, driven by rapid urbanisation, expanding residential infrastructure, thriving industrial clusters and rising household electricity consumption. With cities such as Gurugram, Faridabad, Karnal and Panipat, merging as important economic hubs, the demand for decentralised energy solutions continues to grow, creating significant opportunities for rooftop solar adoption.

Building on this momentum, Tata Power Solar Rooftop aims to install rooftop solar systems across 1 lakh homes in the state over the next three years, targeting a cumulative capacity addition of 500 MWp. The initiative aligns with the Government of India's PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, under which households can avail subsidies of up to ₹78,000, making rooftop solar more affordable and financially attractive. Through an integrated ecosystem comprising solar generation, battery storage and innovative financing solutions, Tata Power aims to enable wider adoption of clean energy across both urban and rural Haryana.

To strengthen participation beyond major cities, Tata Power is expanding its ‘Mera Gaon, Mera Solar’ initiative across villages and semi-urban regions of Haryana. The programme focuses on increasing awareness, improving accessibility and encouraging community-led adoption of rooftop solar solutions. Under the proposed model, every 100 homes solarised within a village would unlock access to a curated bouquet of CSR-led development initiatives, encouraging collective participation while supporting the vision of building more energy-resilient and ‘Aatma Nirbhar’ communities.

As part of the campaign, Tata Power has also introduced a Special Financing Scheme for customers in Haryana, offering zero down payment, instant digital sanction, affordable EMIs with shorter tenures, and faster loan disbursement, making rooftop solar more accessible for a wider consumer base.

For customers adopting smaller rooftop systems of 1 kW and 2 kW particularly under theMera Gaon, Mera Solar’ initiative the financing benefits include zero upfront investment, EMIs equivalent to monthly electricity bills, and solar insurance coverage to safeguard installations.

As part of the initiative, Tata Power showcased its integrated clean energy ecosystem that enables consumers to generate, store, and utilise solar power more efficiently. Under the promise, “The Power is With You – Generate, Store & Use,” the company offers end-to-end rooftop solar and energy storage solutions designed to enhance energy reliability, ensure uninterrupted backup, and promote greater energy independence.

Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power, said, “Haryana's rapid urbanisation, strong industrial ecosystem and progressive consumer base make it one of the most promising markets for distributed renewable energy in the country. We believe the next phase of India's clean energy transition will be driven not only by large-scale renewable projects, but also by households and communities becoming active participants in energy generation and management. Through the Ghar Ghar Solar campaign, supported by battery storage solutions and innovative financing models, we are making clean energy more accessible, affordable and reliable for consumers across Haryana. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting the state's sustainable growth journey while empowering citizens to become partners in India's energy transition"

The company also unveiled its Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) portfolio under the brand name Tata Power Battery Storage, featuring solutions ranging from 5 kWh to 50 MWh for residential and commercial consumers. The residential portfolio offers storage capacities from 5 kWh to 40 kWh, enabling rooftop solar users to maximise solar utilisation while ensuring reliable backup power and improved energy security.

For Commercial & Industrial (C&I) consumers, the product is named as PowerHub, offering scalable solutions tailored to diverse load requirements. The PowerHub portfolio includes PowerHub Core, with capacities ranging from 60 kWh to 600 kWh; PowerHub Pro AC Plug & Play, offering 261 kWh capacity; PowerHub Pro DC Configurable, ranging from 261 kWh to 2.5 MWh; and PowerHub Max, with capacities ranging from 3 MWh to 5 MWh. The PowerHub range is designed to enable flexible, scalable, and large-scale energy storage deployment for businesses and enterprises, supporting improved energy management, operational efficiency, and reliable integration of clean energy.

The launch event witnessed participation from consumers, channel partners, retailers, industry representatives, policymakers, media representatives, and local stakeholders, reinforcing Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited’s commitment to accelerating clean energy adoption across communities and households.

In Haryana alone, Tata Power Solaroof has installed 258.75 MWp of rooftop solar capacity through 9,287 installations. These installations contribute to avoiding 3.3 lakh tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to planting close to 1.3 crore trees every year. There are 409 Tata Power EV Charging points in Haryana, which include public, semi-public chargers to promote clean mobility.

With easy financing, innovative energy solutions, and a strong nationwide presence, Tata Power Solaroof continues to make clean energy mainstream while empowering every Indian household to become solar-ready.
