Kerala, 11 August, 2026: Tata Power Solaroof, part of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has achieved a significant milestone in Kerala with the successful installation of over 61,000 rooftop solar systems, representing a cumulative installed capacity exceeding 273 MWp across the state.
The robust adoption of rooftop solar in Kerala has been largely driven by the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, which has accelerated residential solar uptake through attractive incentives and policy support, enabling consumers to transition toward sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions.
Further strengthening its leadership position, Tata Power Solaroof is recognized as India’s No. 1 rooftop solar provider, commanding a 14% market share, as reported by CRISIL (BTI Research).
