About Power Her Up

One of significant issues for which Tata Power feels committed towards is women empowerment which Tata Power as an organisation has been supporting indirectly through various initiatives such as education, supporting the SHGs, vocational training etc. However, a dedicated campaign encouraging the engagement of our colleagues to improve the well-being of the womenfolk around their respective households would be a beneficial initiative.

One of the most integral part of our homes are the helps whom we employ. Their contributions have a great deal of contribution in making our lives comfortable. This initiative can be an avenue for us to be a positive influence in their lives. Majority of the house-helps are females who are bread earners for their own families. Their well-being not only affects the lives of their own families but also those of the families of our colleagues who are their employers. Therefore, an initiative like this can be a medium to strengthen the relationship between the respective stakeholders and result into a deeper and more meaningful association between the families.

Pledge your support to make a difference!

  • Promotion of the philosophy of women empowerment and women empowerment
  • Facilitation of financial inclusion of the house-helps through the Jan-Dhan initiative thereby linking it to the national-level initiative
  • Better relationships between the house-helps and their employers, to promote a sense of well-being for both
  • Tata Power has espoused the cause of women empowerment and is sensitizing its employees as well
